Fire protection where it counts

The Littershark’s sleek design and practicality are enough in themselves to impress our customers. However, the product range has the added advantage of a high level of fire protection, which is particularly important in public buildings.
The fire protection system is sophisticated and acts at various points in the bin’s structure. The flap serves to prevent a fire from starting in the first place by preventing oxygen from getting into the Littershark, suppressing potential fires before they get started.

Intelligent extinguishing system

The aerosol extinguishing system switches on automatically as soon as smoke, e.g. from a lit cigarette, is detected inside the Littershark. The cartridge can be adjusted for temperature sensitivity, so that the Littershark can be set up for use either indoors or outdoors.
The Littershark is made of high-quality chrome steel, which also contributes to its overall safety. The fire protection system was rated as “excellent” after passing the relevant tests and inspections.

Tried and tested

The fire protection system has been in use at Zurich University Hospital for several years. Their verdict is positive and they are very satisfied with the reliability of the Littershark system, which they intend to continue using going forward.
The fire protection system can be retrofitted in the Delta Shark and Minor Shark models. The small all-rounder is ideal for use in homes, hospitals, clinics and universities.
