Questions about the Littershark

What is the difference between the 60-litre and 70-litre versions?

Our classic is the 70-litre Littershark, which has a round base and is suitable for floor mounting.
The 60-litre Littershark is a ¾ cylinder, which means it is flat at the back. This shape not only saves space but also makes for easy wall-mounting.

What is the Littershark made of?

The Littershark is made of dry-ground chrome steel V2A 1.4301.

Where does the Littershark get its name?

Shortly after its development, during the international tendering process organised by the city of Zurich along GATT/WTO guidelines, a reporter from the local newspaper christened the three litter bin finalists based on their appearance. The “Shark” appellation was right on the nose for this distinctive-looking litter bin. Today, the ANTA SWISS AG Littershark® is a protected brand name that has grown to offer a comprehensive range of disposal solutions for the public sector.

What is the material index and why is it charged to me?

For your peace of mind and in terms of transparency in the highly volatile nickel market, we assume the vast majority of the risks. To ensure price stability, we plan and order the material on a long-term basis. We reserve the right to adjust the prices of chrome steel products to the current raw material market if material price fluctuations are greater than 10%. This is what the material index per kilogram represents.

What size of rubbish sacks are used with a 30-litre Oskar Shark?

For the Oskar Shark we recommend the long, 30-litre rubbish sacks.

Can the Littershark be ordered in another colour?

The Littershark can be sprayed-coated in the colour of your choice from the RAL or DB colour charts. However, the advantages of a pure chrome steel surface are lost through painting. Cleaning and repairing minor damage is then no longer easily possible.
