Marcel J. Strebel would never have imagined that litter bins would one day be his bread and butter.

But how did the founder of ANTA SWISS AG end up with his company and ultimately the Littershark? The story begins at Brüco Rümlang AG, where Strebel began working as a young employee. He initially achieved success with server cabinets and the 19-inch standard, unwittingly laying the foundations for the future Littershark.

A request from designer Werner Zemp eventually led to Strebel producing his first litter bin, with the entire Strebel family playing a role in its ongoing evolution. Every story has several chapters, and with the recent handover of the company to Strebel’s sons, Thomas and Matthias, a brand new chapter is unfolding.

Marcel J. Strebel tells the whole story best in his own words and, in this interview, he not only looks back on the company’s history from the beginning but also looks forward into the future.
