When it comes to medicine and healthcare, proper waste disposal is crucial. This also applies to the outdoor areas used by patients, visitors and staff at the Bad Vigaun Medical Centre in Austria.
Cigarette butts and ash had been a particular source of frustration for a long time – until the decision was made to leave them to the Littershark.
Seven Littersharks in the centre’s gardens now take care of all litter and waste – including cigarette butts and ash.
They have not only been a hit with the visitors, but also with the cleaning staff, who appreciate the quick and easy emptying process and are full of praise for the smart closure system.
This comment from Medo Borcilo, Head of Technology at the medical centre, says it all: “The Littershark devours rubbish like a Great White!”
