Traditional village meets urban disposal system: Pratteln has retained its charming character while fully embracing modern approaches to waste management. The 70-litre and 110-litre Littersharks were such a hit with residents that the municipality decided to go one step further and install a three-way separation system from the Littershark family on both the north and south sides of the station.
The problem: While rubbish, aluminium and plastic were being disposed of properly, used PET bottles from private households were also ending up in the Littersharks’ jaws, causing the bins to overflow.
