The old waste bins in Linz, the capital of Upper Austria, are being upgraded to new, stylish and efficient Littersharks. Over 90 of these bins will be positioned at various locations throughout the city.

The 1.3-kilometre-long Landstrasse in Linz is one of the most visited promenades in the whole of Austria. Keeping the city clean and tidy is therefore a top priority. A stylish and efficient replacement had to be found for the old Niro bins, which no longer worked properly. After observing the Littersharks in action in Linz’s sister city of Vienna and conducting a test phase with two Littershark models, the decision was made. The capital of Upper Austria is now gradually replacing its old bins with modern Littersharks. Over 90 bins of different models will ensure clean and tidy public spaces along Landstrasse, on Linz’s main square and in the Old Town. In the city centre, the Littershark with ashtray module is mainly deployed to deal with the considerable amount of ash and cigarette butts left behind by the city’s residents and tourists. Furthermore, the city uses our convenient cleaning service to have the Littersharks cleaned annually by our team, who are on the road with the shark cleaning wagon and know all the tricks to make the dirty armour of our waste heroes shine in full splendour again.
