The Littershark conquers Switzerland

In 2002, the Littershark beat 80 competitors in an international tender organised by the city of Zurich along GATT/WTO guidelines. Industrial designer Werner Zemp was the brains behind the brilliant concept and design. He looked for a metal-working company to partner with via the network of the Northwestern Switzerland/Swiss Plateau virtual factory.

Brüco Swiss AG

Brüco Swiss AG proved to be the ideal manufacturer with the right core skill set. Besides an appealing design, amongst the most important criteria were functionality and short recoupment time thanks to ease of maintenance. As the winner, Brüco Swiss AG won a contract to manufacture the first 500 units of the Littershark.

The designer produced a masterpiece in the Littershark. This is also reflected in the fact that variations on the original model are constantly being created in order to cater for specific needs, without the product losing any of its character. A Littershark is and will always be a Littershark – whether it’s in Zurich, Vienna, Hochdorf or Berlin.
